# wQp_Kxlhzd2nrqwHNIGHTFλLL - STAFF APPLICATION
Steam Name: Optical-4-2-0
Steam ID: STEAM_0:1:32922552
Do you have any prior experience with staffing on an HL2RP server? - If so give evidence - : I had my own community before, managed Arctic Eclipse (owned by M!NT, one of the Willard devs), and have had a variety of different roles over the years.
Why do you wish to become a staff member for NIGHTFλLL’s community? : I was interested in playing this community when I had my own, as it was somewhat different and sounded exciting, I have a lot of friends who are currently going to be playing here and Syph0 most certainly helped me gain a lot of interest in wanting to help out the staff team, I can be quite useful from a variety of different angles and would more than gladly strive to be one of the many functioning cogs within this team, I will also have a fair amount of spare time to provide (when I am not training for my new job) and can make plenty of room to put myself at full capacity here.
How long have you been playing HL2RP for, and or RP as a whole? : I've been in the community since I was really young (and clockwork was OG), started playing HL2 when I was around 10/11 (as it was interesting and greatly helped me w/ my English grades) and I have played on and off ever since, i've seen many communities throughout my time, either staffing or playing on them to experience the difference from whatever may have been most popular at the time.
Have you read through the rules on the discord? : Yes, I have.
Have you broken any of these rules? : No.
STAFFING SCENARIOS
You are called to the scene of a supposed RDM. The attacking party has stated that he RPed the attack properly but the other party states that the man not only ran up and began stabbing his character but did it whilst under 4 Civil-Protection officers were offline. What would you do? - I would firstly take the individuals involved and move them to a secure area, to avoid anything more from possibly happening, I would then proceed to get both of the parties stories (one at a time) in order to hear the situation fairly, after doing this, I would check through the server logs to see if I am being deceived and/or to find out if there were any possible misconceptions, before making any final verdicts.
During a staff meeting, the OTA faction leader begins complaining about lack of interest in their faction and blames the CP faction lead from OOC telling people to join their ranks instead of the OTA faction. Things get heated fast, what would you do? - I would promptly take screenshots of the messages for proof, before coincidingly deleting the messages, to prevent any bloodshed in the discord I would temporarily server mute the pair and add them to a private conversation as a mediator (with other staff members to prevent any bias), so that something effective can be sorted out privately, and to avoid any unnecessary freak-outs from happening on the discord.
The resistance frees their leader from a combine outpost. Whilst RPing their escape, another admin on scene stops the RP from continuing as there are suspicions on whether or not the people within the resistance were using DISCORD as a way to meta their escape. The admin has little to no evidence, what would you do? - I would personally ask if anyone has recorded the situation first to see if there may be any possible proof around the situation, if not I would ask them to provide me with a screenshot of their discord servers (to show they're not in a VC or a group chat), and I would look for the logs for their roleplay, so that I can read it through properly & get some background on the situation, depending on what I gather from my research I would usually give three options, a) re-roleplay the situation around the escape (with an admin present, if a final verdict cannot be reached) b) disallow the roleplay if it was fringed, and (apply the correct punishment) c) allow the roleplay to continue, given there is nothing suspicious and efficient proof was provided from the other party.
Whilst staffing, an argument between two individuals in OOC starts to get quite heated, there have been multiple warnings to both parties and you are the only admin online. One individual throws an IP address onto the OOC chat, what would you do? - I would punish both parties involved over the argument, as by that point it would've been well over a 'negotiable' point between both individuals, however, I would naturally punish the person who had decided to leak the IP address a lot more seriously, as it is generally not tolerated among many communities.
During low-peak hours you notice a player bunny-hopping around the map, there are around two people online and both of them just seem to be going AFK and collecting rations with no intent to roleplay. What would you do? - I would firstly kick the two individuals who are AFK, after this I would ask them to stop bunny-hopping in LOOC, if this is ignored I would kick them, if it was still ignored, I would kick them, as for the AFK individuals, I would check to see if they were doing this regularly and ask questions, however, if I cannot find anything repetitive, I would reprimand them if they were to continue n' ban them if they ignored the warning.
By completing this Application do you understand that as a moderator you are to be unbiased as possible at all times? You will stick to the rules and are never above them and you will be treated the exact same as anyone else. - Yes, I understand.
