STAFFING SCENARIOS

You are called to the scene of a supposed RDM. The attacking party has stated that he RPed the attack properally but the other party states that the man not only ran up and began stabbing his character but did it whilst under 4 Civil-Protection officers were offline. What would you do?

Since there are under 4 Civil Protection officers online I would ask the two to void this incident entirely and resume normal roleplay until there are 4 or more CPs. If any party accidentally lost any item I will refund whatever was lost.

During a staff meeting, the OTA faction leader begins complaining about lack of interest in their faction and blames the CP faction lead from OOC telling people to join their ranks instead of the OTA faction. Things get heated fast, what would you do?

I would ask the two individuals to cease because we know that the usual "CP best faction" is only a joke and it should not be taken seriously. To reaffirm the OTA lead, I would have to say that people prefer to have their own roleplay style. It is better to have a few active OTA players than to have an abundance of questionable OTA players due to the overflow of applications.

The resistance frees their leader from a combine outpost. Whilst RPing their escape, another admin on scene stops the RP from continuing as there are suspicions on whether or not the people within the resistance were using DISCORD as a way to meta their escape. The admin has little to no evidence, what would you do?

I would check the Nightfall discord to make sure they were not in a VC. If the console shows that the two individuals were RPing all their actions appropriately, I will have to dismiss the suspicions. However, I would have to make sure that the saviour had IC knowledge of this scenario either through logs to pinpoint someone mentioning this or asking him where he was positioned when he saw the resistance leader.

Whilst staffing, an argument between two individuals in OOC starts to get quite heated, there have been multiple warnings to both parties and you are the only admin online. One individual throws an IP address onto the OOC chat, what would you do?

I will invoke Rule 6 of the discord. "6. Do not attack, dox, bully or threaten anyone in here. If you break this rule, a warning will be issued, followed by a kick or a ban if it gets worse."

If they continue I will resort to kicking both players or giving them a short ban for several hours to let them to cool off.

During low-peak hours you notice a player bunny-hopping around the map, there are around two people online and both of them just seem to be going AFK and collecting rations with no intent to roleplay. What would you do?

Attribute farming on the server is a major violation of the rules. If I notice the player is not afk, I would ask him to stop, because I do not wish to be 'that guy' to ban immediately without warning. If the offending player continues to do the attribute farm plus ration farm, I will have to kick him or perhaps ban him for several days. I do not wish to be the guy who gives people perm bans for farming attributes, though I do understand that it is a major rule break.
