What positive personal traits do you have?:
Little to none mental effects of anxiety during conceived threats and predicaments. Able to use cognitive empathy to its full extent for negotiations and social interactions. Duty-driven. Able to exhibit verbal professionalism among the civilian population and preserve authority.
What negative personal traits do you have?:
Easily irritable, however I am able to hide it well/not reflect it upon others in a detrimental manner. Not the best punctuality for most things but I am working on that. A physical side note: I am genetically myopic, but never ever needed glasses or lenses as it is mild.
[OPTIONAL] Character backstory:
Before our benefactors came to rescue humanity from it’s animalistic, isolationist, and anti-progressive instincts, I used to live in the United States. My family migrated to US because of the political and economic crisis in their home country at the time. They were easily accepted as they had useful degrees that could benefit the workforce in that continent. We were easygoing people and stayed out of trouble most of the time. I grew up in a calm and somewhat deserted neighborhood. I attended a local public school and even though I wasn’t the best at my grades, I wasn’t that bad either. I joined the USMC and had chosen that field of work for my career for a bit of a time (long before the Ascension era), but had to get discharged for familial reasons. Now, I am looking for better opportunities that will benefit me and benefit the common man and woman, which I have decreed: I want to join Civil Protection.
Have you ever committed and been prosecuted for a violation by Civil Protection functionaries within any city? If so, details must be provided:
No, I haven’t.

Are you a part of the Nightfall Discord?:
Yes, I am.
Do you have any experience with this whitelist on other servers or our own?:
Yes, I do. I have been playing HL2RP for 5 years and have gained experience in both semi and fully serious servers, such as; Requiem Gaming, Reunited Gaming, Stranded, Code BLACK, Synosis, SchulzeRP, Impulse, Community Seventeen, Cataclysm, Exodious...
What is the purpose of Civil Protection, from both an IC and OOC perspective?:
Aside from the protection they provide within city boundaries, the CPs are also tasked with keeping outside hostilities from gaining access to the city. CPs are essentially a military police formation with several subordinates (divisions) that are specialized in different fields like engineering and medical. They use both traditional and modern methods of combat to suppress the overall resistance. They have access to an armory which should be sufficient for their daily duties. They assist CWU and other UU-affiliated organisations with their works and make sure it goes well without any problems. The officers are to remain anonymous and be authoritative. They are to make sure the law and order is in place. As for the OOC part: they are the backbone of policing in any HL2RP server that has CityRP as its main focus. The CPs and the resistance are the polar opposites of each other and occasionally engage in hostility.
How will you use your whitelist to improve roleplay on the server?:
While I like to play similarly to the original HL2 CPs; I abstain from looking and acting like a complete robocop. I am OOCly unbiased as well, which is an important thing to secure if we want no hostilities beyond IC interactions. I am also a big fan of P2L due to it using logic. I try to use P2L in every roleplay scenario I can, as long as the other parties agree to it. Oh and the 'ratio' issue. I respect that. No one likes a screwed up ratio in which there are dozens of cops and not a single civvie or the other way around.
What kind of motivation does your character have for joining the Combine Civil Authority?:
[IC pov]: From my early childhood times I have always had a fascination for militarymen and women and the duties they carried out. Disciplined, authoritative, and PROTECTIVE. The UU's ascensionist policy is like a cherry on top of those. I suffer from a bit of OCD and ASPD, which made me to be more attracted to law enforcement and military positions. I craved the disciplinary action. I craved that unitary soul. I still do. That is why I am applying to be enlisted into Civil Protection. I think its a suitable position for me to be in as I can be properly organized and coordinative and carry out the laws the UU has set.
[OOC pov]: I love this faction. I have a lot of experience and I opt to play as a CP whenever I can.
Do you understand that your whitelist is a privilege that has been given to you with a large degree of trust, and that abuse of this whitelist will result in it being revoked?:
Yes. I will not abuse any players.
List on what sort of actions constitute to whitelist abuse:
Going rogue without permissions; RDM; RDA (beyond IC corruption); metagaming; supplying the Resistance and/or any other users or groups with scripts and etcetera...

Scenarios
Answer in written format, detailing your actions and how you would proceed.
You are an i4 on patrol in the plaza, when you notice a citizen who seems to be stumbling and unable to walk in a straight line. As you approach, you notice he is carrying a bottle of beer in one hand and is slurring his speech. How do you proceed? :
This is public intoxication. It cannot be tolerated within society. I briefly report-in to my radio and give my colleagues some information such as my status and location; and call for extra backup in case things get violent. I then order the male to get against a wall to frisk him and deliver his verdict. If he complies, I dispose/confiscate the beer, and bring him in for jail time. Preferably, I’d bag him with a black bag so that he doesn’t see the interior of the Nexus on the way. I’d decide his jail time and negative points in accordance with whatever the handbook says. If he doesn’t comply in the first place, after pacifying him, I’d add an extra count of malcompliance/noncompliance/resisting arrest.
During an inspection in the Residential Block, you find that one of the citizens is carrying a radio, and seems to be trying to conceal it. What do you do?:
From this text it is given that I am the officer conducting the search on this individual, that means I am dangerously close to this person. In that case, I, with the best of my abilities, pacify the citizen immediately. I’d use force and restrain his wrists ASAP so that he doesn’t reach for anything else or attack me. The other officers participating in the inspection will watch my back as I arrest the citizen. After bringing him to Nexus, I’d charge him with contraband violations and concealment attempts.
You’ve been ordered to respond to a code 3 scenario in which another civil protection delegate is in danger. You and your protection team buddy are making your way to the scene, but as you dash into an alley your way is obstructed by three unarmed citizens who refuse to let you and your buddy pass. How do you proceed:
The life of a functionary is essential. Me and my partner will do anything to get to that unit for aid. We either barge through or make use of our equipment: such as opening fire shots at the ground, and since we are in an alleyway, this could deafen their ears and make them weak, letting us through easier. If there’s time, which is unlikely due to the situation warranting a Code 3 call, we would notify nearby units to take care of the malcompliant citizens. But with common sense, we wouldn’t care about collateral damage and just do anything to get through to reach that unit in danger.
You’re on a standard patrol routine with two other delegates. The protection team leader, whose rank is Rank Leader, seems to be harassing a citizen in the plaza for seemingly no reason. You and your other buddy stand by as the interaction between your team leader and the citizen goes on for some time. How would you react?:
I am neither in the position to intervene nor am I eligible to punish this unit for misconduct. I simply take this matter to the higher-ups, preferably the Dispatch/commander/other higher-ups of any kind.
NOTE: I used Microsoft Word to type all of this at first and then pasted it here on the forums. The reason is because the forums keep dying on me whenever I try to type my application IN HERE.
