How much experience do you have in Half Life 2 Roleplay?: I started playing HL2RP in 2020 April. And so far I played on many servers with the most memorable being Reunited Gaming, Willard Networks and Undetermind Gaming. And with the most Whitelist I hold on Reunited Gaming, which offered me various experiences with one of the two server I even got my first Vortigaunts Whitelist

What is a vortigaunt?:
A Vortigaunt is a Bipedal, Humanoid Creature With Ranging Complexions, Typically Green-Skinned in Coloration, They have a digitigrade leg-structure, Typically they reside with a hunched over posture, elongated necks with a low sitting head, They bear sharp teeth with a set of 4 Eyes accompanying their facial structure. Normally the Height of Vortigaunts can depend on a variety of factors, Such as heritage or Genetics, But usually they are around 5-7ft in height.
How do vortigaunts act?:
Vortigaunts Typically act in Peculiar ways but are usually Sociable with Humans or their own Kin, They usually speak in Almost Poetic Manners in some cases, Understanding English and the other Human Languages And capable of speaking them quite fluently, They however have trouble with some words by either mispronouncing them or simply not understanding the words themselves, they typically are Kind, But Cautious in some cases.
What is the vortessence?:
he Vortessence is both an enigma and a Mystery to those who are not connected with it such as the Vortigaunts are, Some say It's a Fabric Woven into the very Universe itself, Some say it's a mystical Energy that the Vortigaunts can tap into, Some may even refer to it as an energy for reincarnation. All of these may be correct to an extent in some shape or manner As there is quite a lot of mystery behind it, What is known however is how Vortigaunts Utilize it. Typically Vortigaunts utilize this energy in a variety of ways, allowing them access to many abilities some would consider as Supernatural. There is also the capability for Vortigaunts to be almost 'Interconnected' With one another Like a Web, A Way of Communicating.
How does vortigese work?:
Vortigese is communicated by a Vortigaunts 'Vortal-Inputs' And Via 'Flux-Shifting', This allows the Vortigaunts to speak in a completely Indecipherable Language to outside observers, Or in this case - Humans. To us in this case, We cannot understand it nor speak it as our vortal-inputs are 'Impaired', Meaning with some mystery that we may simply lack the capability to speak it due to the nonexistence of an organ, or it could be something more than simply just that and Follows suit with the Mystery of the Vortigaunts themselves.
What do the shackles & collar on a Biotic do?:
The Collar on a Vortigaunt has changed through the times, But still All falls under the same functionality to make the Creature Enslaved under the Rule of A Dominant Power, Weather it be the Nihilanth or the Combine. The Collars for the Nihilanth-Era Vortigaunts Allowed the Nihilanth Complete and Utter Control over the Species In a Mind-Control Esque Manner, Rendering them nothing but slaves, The Alien-Controllers contributed to this - Providing an almost watchful eye to the Vortigaunts. In the case of the Combines Reign, The Collar supresses the Vortigaunts ability to use Vortal-Energy, Preventing them from accessing their abilities and doing harm.
How do Vortigaunts act towards other factions?
The Vortigaunts themselves has a calm and distant nature anyone outside their species. But now with the Combine Invasion on their Homeworld, Xen and now on Earth. Their Attitude to other people outside their species changed. We'll go with the Combine first. The Combine, they resent them and anyone who willingly and actively volunteers to support their evil doing. Loyalist aren't included, as the Vortigaunt just see them as people, who try their best in the new world. To the CP on the other hand or High-Combine Officials, they feel hate against them, but as well fear especially to the Soldiers. To the average Citizen, they feel nothing. They are like themselves enslaved under an alien empire. They are as much acquaintance you can guess. But to the Resistance, they feel like Allied to them. They want to help the Human race to avoid that absolute genocide that the Vortigaunts suffered twice. Allied with the Resistance, Acquaintance to the Civic population and Fear as well hate against the Combine

Your vortigaunt's detailed backstory:
Niyok’tok was like many a common vortigaunt who was enslaved by Nihilanth and abused for the consumption of his own. He was on earth at the time of Nihilanth's death and had to fight the people, but when it died it was free, but it was stuck on earth. He met a Vortigaunt named “Ya’ko” and became friends with him, they both liked each other and help each other. But when the Seven Hours War was erupting and ended again, the two had joined a group of refugees outside of Moscow. “Ya’ko”, who was talented in meditation and healing, treated the relatives with the help of the group's paramedic, Nizaki’yok was unfortunately not that talented and was only partly liked but nevertheless. After 3-4 months of escaping, the group was found by Overwatch patrols and destroyed in a 3 day hunt. A relative “Lara Becker” who was close to him died in his arms with the last word “take care of yourself”. The rest were scattered or shot. Ya'ko sacrificed himself for Nizaki'yok and gave him a head start, Nizaki'yok hid for another two days. Before he got caught and surrendered instead of fighting himself to death. Not long after, he was shackled once again by a superior alien empire

- Niyok'tok Beside the fire, Looking to the individuals who sat amongst him
- One of the Humans Spoke up - 'So Vort, You've spoken about these 'mystical energies', I'm curious but.. How easy would it be for you to use 'em?'
- Niyok Cleared his throat, Speaking In a Low, But Easily heard tone - 'Our Mystical Energies are but a mystery to your kind, for you all have not tapped into them yet.. But for us, we can merely tap into them in such a way that it would be comparable with Breathing, Or Eating.'
- The Humans thought for a moment, One of the ones wearing the jacket spoke up - 'So if were to toss this rock to you, Would you be able to use these energies to toss it back?'
- Niyok Spoke once more, Appearing to have a much more calm tone - 'While we would be able to catch the.. Rock regardless of the Vortal-Energies, Yes.. It also would be quite easy to do.'
- One of the Humans Spoke for a moment - 'Now I'm kinda curious.. What was your species like before the combine took over?'
- Niyok would begin reminiscing of his past, Thinking about the question for a moment - 'Such Information may be lost to us, We hold light and vague thoughts the once before, For the Vortessence is severed from us, I will share what I know, however.'
- The Humans pulled up their chairs, and Listened to any Story that Niyok had to tell.
