I believe that this will be my second gmod HL2RP server.

I am a vortigaunt on another server HL2RP (Community 17), and so I posess some experience in the faction.

What is a vortigaunt?:
A Vortigaunt is a creature that entered Earth from the borderworld, Xen, during the incident in Black Mesa, after which more appeared due to portal storms. They are fully intelligent and usually live in communities, closely banded together by kinship through the vortessense-an unnoticable cosmic/spiritual energy which the vortigaunts have manipulation of. Vortigaunts, despite their wise, social and intelligent nature, were always regarded as slaves for other beings, whether it be the Nihilanth and his underlings, or the interdimentional empire that is the Combine.
How do vortigaunts act?:
Vortigaunts are usually calm and unphased, speaking with old fashioned words and intricately structured sentances, retaining it's somewhat mysterious nature. A vortigaunt usually refers to itself as 'we', aswell as putting 'the' before the names of someone they mention. Becouse of their knowledge of the vortessense, they retain a mentality of "All is connected. All is one" and value the cosmic force deeply, perhaps even religiously.
What is the vortessence?:
The vortessense is a mysterious energy which seemingly bypasses time and space. It exists in all, in one way or another, and seems to be neutral by nature. The vortigaunts, however, can use the vortessense, manipulating it to be granted miraculous abilities of varying utilities (like attacking, charging a generator, healing injuries/stabelising life etc.). At maximum, this mysterious energy can bend time-space completly, although this cannot be achieved by normal means.
How does vortigese work?:
Vortigese as the language of vortigaunts is, of course, intertwined with the vortessense. That is why translating it by a human, or anyone else that is not a vortigaunt, is impossible. Besides words, they may convey meaning through the vortessense, receiving it mentally.
What do the shackles & collar on a Biotic do?:
Aside from making it harder for the vortigaunt to move, the main purpose of the shackles is to sever the being's ties to the vortessense, preventing anipulation of it and rendering the being helpless. In the previous server I was in, I also believe the shackles would explode when a vortigaunt enters certain areas, killing it.
How do Vortigaunts act towards other factions?
The vortigaunts do not harbour direct friendship or hatred towards other factions, although they do still react to them. A vortigaunt leans towards more of a negative view towards the Combine, due to the fact of it enslaving them. The beings also have a somewhat more positive desposition towards the resistance, as they work to the same cause of freedom from the Combine's oppressive rule, aswell as revering a certain member of the Resistance, Gordon Freeeman, as a messianic figure.

Does your vortigaunt have any special characteristics that could be unique or stand out from the rest?:The vortigaunt is lacking of pride, it's main trait is that of being simple.
Your vortigaunt's detailed backstory:Tii'Jek was born a slave, spending most of his life on what only semed to be a mine in Xen, overseen by alien controllers. Life was not easy, and so famine and exhaustion were commonplace, although Tii'Jek never gave it a second thought. He knew the dangers of overthinking the situation, as he has seen some give up completly. And so, the main thing on his mind was living until tomorrow, and then the day after, and then the day after that, all continuing further, which caused him to not shun himself of eating whatever alien leftovers were there, all he could find. He did not mind sleeping on the ground and for small periods of time, as there just could not be a better alternitive. And so he lived, lived to the day of the fall of the Nihilanth, which severed his control of the enslaved. Tii'Jek, taking the opportunity to live further, ran from the mines, which were already falling into chaos. He scaped into the parts of Xen away from the factories and settlements, although this was not to last long, as an anomaly would hit the area he was in, transporting him and the whatever Xenian creatures were around somehwere... Unrecognisable from The Borderworld. And so he was on Earth, free. But as luck would have it, he'd get capured the next day by the forces of the Combine, who have severed his ties to the vortessense and placed him into a state of servitude one again, somthing truly familiar, yet bitter to him.
Write a detailed roleplay scenario of your choosing that includes your Vortigaunt, their personality and emotions, so that we may see how well you can roleplay:
A man comes us to the vortigaunt and beckons him to follow, holding something in hand. As they both depart into a building, away from prying eyes, the man shows the being a piece of meat, the smell felt... Familiar, to meat common among vortigaunt to eat. As the hungry biotic looks upon it, it reaches it's arm out to grab it, but the man quickly gets his hand back.
"You really thought you'd get it for free? No, I want to watch you kneel down infront of me, you are hungry, yes? Well, you'd better entertain me for the food" the man says, as his face has a smug expression. The vortigaunt, without qestion, crouches down and looks upon the man, then atthe meat in his hand.
"Now I want you to fall down, turn on your back and look at me, like a dog would at it's owner" the man says, as he looks upon the being which already begins to do as instructed. While unaware of what a 'dog' is, the being did well enough, with the man throwing the meat at it's exposed abdomen and leaves, smirking. As the vortigaunt slowly stands back up, it picked the meat up and gaze at the man's back, it's eye bulging out, before breathing in and out and eating the food, pondering on the situation. Although the situation was truly humiliating, what mattered most was the food, as the feelings were taken away with each bite.
