[OPTIONAL] Character backstory: Wyatt used to work for some company he can't remember the name of out in the desert as outdoor security personnel. One day, shit kicked off in a way he didn't want to understand, or need to understand. With a handful of science and security personnel, he fought his way through crowds of creatures he'd never seen before, lost some people along the way, and got out just as things started to get worse.

What he'll tell you is up to him at the end of the day, he doesn't like talking about it, and he'd much rather just forget everything he saw that day. Unfortunately, combat skills like that aren't likely to be wasted in the new world he finds himself surviving the day-to-day in. Having lost contact with any outstanding groups from the past, and constantly moving around the world due to multiple "relocation" orders, he finds himself in a new city, one where he'll have to prove he's not someone to take lightly.

The best way to do that is to get involved with the biggest, baddest bastards on offer: Civil Protection. Suppose it's not too different from his last job, at the end of the day.

Have you ever committed and been prosecuted for a violation by Civil Protection functionaries within any city? If so, details must be provided: Wyatt has stayed on the up and up, a model citizen, but always caught in and around trouble, as if it follows him. This has led to him being lightly monitored by the Universal Union.

He's yet to have been caught stepping out of line.

What is the purpose of Civil Protection, from both an IC and OOC perspective?: From an IC perspective, to keep the peace and keep things calm amongst the civilian population, much like a standard police force. From an OOC perspective, much the same, but to also provide players with alternative roleplay opportunities.

How will you use your whitelist to improve roleplay on the server?: Any time I log on as Wyatt, I will be committed fully to the character and the environment around him to add an extra layer of immersion to the world. Roleplay only works if people are committed to it, after all.

What kind of motivation does your character have for joining the Combine Civil Authority?: Wyatt has had prior experience with Security and Enforcement work. Not only is the job a direct fit for his character, but it serves as a means to an end, the ends being earning respect, and surviving just another day longer.

Do you understand that your whitelist is a privilege that has been given to you with a large degree of trust, and that abuse of this whitelist will result in it being revoked?: Absolutely. I am familiar with whitelists and other roleplay communities.

List on what sort of actions constitute to whitelist abuse: Passing along whitelist info to minges and other griefers, gatekeeping players (albeit poorly) by taking up a slot solely so others can't get in, etc.

Scenarios

Answer in written format, detailing your actions and how you would proceed.

You are an i4 on patrol in the plaza, when you notice a citizen who seems to be stumbling and unable to walk in a straight line. As you approach, you notice he is carrying a bottle of beer in one hand and is slurring his speech. How do you proceed?

Wyatt confiscates the bottle, and takes the civ in to sleep off the beer before he does something stupid. An aware citizen is a compliant citizen.

During an inspection in the Residential Block, you find that one of the citizens is carrying a radio, and seems to be trying to conceal it. What do you do?

Order the civilian to turn over the radio. If they refuse to comply, dispense civil judgement and take it by force. The radio could be used to communicate with rebels, leading to an uprising, and unneeded bloodshed.

You’ve been ordered to respond to a code 3 scenario in which another civil protection delegate is in danger. You and your protection team buddy are making your way to the scene, but as you dash into an alley your way is obstructed by three unarmed citizens who refuse to let you and your buddy pass. How do you proceed?

Force the civilians to let you through, whether by lethal or non-lethal needs. No time can afforded to be wasted, if someone has to die to save someone else, so be it.

You’re on a standard patrol routine with two other delegates. The protection team leader, whose rank is Rank Leader, seems to be harassing a citizen in the plaza for seemingly no reason. You and your other buddy stand by as the interaction between your team leader and the citizen goes on for some time. How would you react?

It's best to leave the Rank Leader to his work. Odds are, he outranks us. Stepping out of our station would get us in too much trouble and bullshit.
